Love. Period.

In a world that often feels loud, divided, and quick to tear people down, I keep coming back to one simple truth:
Love more.
Love more people than you hate. Love more often than you judge. Love even when it’s hard, even when it doesn’t make sense, even when others choose differently.
Love is never wrong.
It might not always be easy. It might not always be returned. But choosing love — choosing kindness, patience, understanding, and connection — is never the wrong decision. When we break people down with criticism, anger, or indifference, we lose a little piece of our own humanity. When we build them up instead, we heal something in both of us.
We don’t know when our time will come. None of us do. That’s why it matters so much to fill whatever time we have with uniting instead of dividing. With spreading love instead of spreading negativity. With choosing to see the human in every person we meet.
I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that at the end of the day, the things we chase — the money, the status, the perfect image, the right opinion — don’t matter nearly as much as we think they do. What remains is the love we gave and the love we received. That’s what people remember. That’s what fills our hearts when everything else fades.
Love is the answer. Not always the easy answer. But the most important one.
So today, I’m choosing to love a little louder. To smile at strangers. To forgive quicker. To listen better. To send the text, make the call, hold the door, speak the kind word. To love the people who are easy to love — and especially the ones who aren’t.
Because in the end, love is what makes this whole unexpected human journey worthwhile.
Love. Period.
What does choosing love look like in your life right now? Have you experienced a moment lately where love felt like the only right response? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
Until next time, Love more. Always.

Love. Period. — Now How Do We Actually Practice It?
After writing about choosing love over everything else, I’ve been thinking a lot about what that actually looks like in real, everyday life. It’s easy to say “love more,” but how do we turn that into something we do — not just feel?
Here are some practical, grounded ways I’m trying to practice love in my own ordinary days:
1. Start with the Smallest Kindnesses Hold the door a few seconds longer. Let someone merge in traffic. Send a quick “thinking of you” text to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. These micro-moments of love add up fast and cost nothing.
2. Listen Without Fixing Sometimes love looks like shutting up. When someone shares something heavy, resist the urge to offer advice or solutions right away. Just listen. Say, “That sounds really hard. I’m here with you.” Being fully present is one of the most loving things we can give.
3. Love People As They Are (Not As We Wish They Were) This one is hard. It means releasing the silent scorecard we keep on others. Accepting their flaws, their pace, their different views. Love says: “You don’t have to be perfect or agree with me for me to care about you.”
4. Practice Self-Love Without Guilt You can’t pour from an empty cup. Take the nap. Buy the flowers. Say no to the extra commitment. Go for the walk. Restoring yourself is not selfish — it’s how you make sure you have love left to give others.
5. Forgive Quickly (Even If You Don’t Forget) Holding grudges quietly poisons our own hearts. Practicing love often means choosing forgiveness before we feel ready. It might be a quiet internal decision at first — “I’m not going to let this keep hurting me” — and that’s enough to start.
6. Speak Life Over People Tell them what you appreciate. Notice their efforts. Celebrate small wins. “I’m really proud of how you handled that” or “You made my day easier today” can stay with someone for a long time.
7. Love in the Mundane Love isn’t always grand gestures. It’s making coffee for your partner, checking in on your parents, being patient with the tired cashier, or picking up trash in the park even when no one’s watching.
The beautiful thing is this: every time we choose love in these small, practical ways, we make the world a little softer. We don’t have to fix everything. We don’t have to agree with everyone. We just have to love the person right in front of us, as best we can, in this moment.
We never know when our time — or someone else’s — will end. That knowledge makes every act of love feel urgent and sacred.
So today, I’m challenging both of us: Look for one opportunity to practice love — even if it’s tiny. Then do it again tomorrow. And the next day.
Because love isn’t just a feeling. It’s a practice. It’s a choice we make again and again.
Love. Period.
